As part of the Bio Material Transformation (BMT) initiative, a biomass-derived synthetic leather was collaboratively developed using fiber extracted from tea residues, made possible through the advanced material technologies of Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd.

As part of the Bio Material Transformation (BMT) team’s initiatives, our company and the Faculty of Agriculture at Shizuoka University have collaboratively developed a biomass-based synthetic leather using fiber extracted from tea residues, leveraging the advanced material technologies of Teijin Frontier Co., Ltd.
The Faculty of Agriculture will present name holders made from this synthetic leather for the first time at their Summer Open Campus, to be held on August 1st ’25.
